Thank you Ros sooo much for giving all this valuable info. and putting so much effort into for us. However the whole "permission, ping, FTP" thing is waaaaaaaay over my head. I have no idea what any of this means. Would you consider doing a baby step for dummies course on all this tech stuff? Why doesn't WordPress.org where I have my first blog help absolute baby newbies what happens is we just sort of get way overwhelmed and give up.
www.your1stgarden.com Thanks again though. Claudia C.

Hi, I am having trouble with FileZilla because I have Mac OS X 10.4, not 10.5. What would you recommend doing?

Great Vids. I am wayyyyy behind. Q on vid 2. I am using dreamweaver for FTP.

My word press does not show the info on the bottom as the video showed. Is the permission correct?

I went through it anyway and in changing permission mine was set to 0 I added 666 and not sure if it saved. How would I know.

Also .htaccess file I can not seem to find it anywhere. What am I missing?

Also

Winston,
Here's the update on the .htaccess file --
After many emails to tech support, it turns
out the only error I had was in the last line:
***RewriteRule . /foo/index.php [L]***

You have to change the "FOO" to your folder where
WP is located... mine was 'blog'

Once done it worked perfectly.

Now I got to find Ali and tell him.
